Zoom bot is a group chat notification channel. You can configure a Zoom bot in a channel’s escalation rule to push incident notifications to Zoom, with support for @ mentioning relevant responders.

Prerequisites

Before configuring, you need to create a Chatbot application in the Zoom Marketplace and obtain the following information:
  1. Webhook URL or Token: The Webhook URL or Token of the Zoom Chatbot.
  2. Verify Token: The Verify Token used to authenticate request origins.

Configuration steps

Add a Zoom bot notification channel in a channel’s escalation rule:

Enter escalation rule configuration

Go to Channel Details → Escalation Rule → Select or create a level → Under notification methods, select Group Chat NotificationZoom.

Enter Webhook URL or Token

Enter the Zoom Chatbot’s Webhook URL or Token.If you have previously configured a bot of the same type, the system displays historical records in the dropdown for quick selection. Upon selection, the system automatically fills in the associated Verify Token.

Enter Verify Token

Enter the Zoom Chatbot’s Verify Token, used to verify request authenticity.

Set alias (optional)

You can set an alias for this bot to help you remember and distinguish different notification channels.

Advanced settings (optional)

Expand Advanced Settings to configure the following:@ Mentions

User mapping tableRequired when @ mentions are enabled. Select a pre-created user mapping table to map Flashduty users to Zoom users. You can also click the Quick Create Mapping Table link to create one
The user mapping table defines the correspondence between Flashduty users and Zoom users. You can create and maintain mapping tables on the Mapping Table Management page.
Notification event typesSelect which event types trigger Zoom notification pushes. All are selected by default. You can choose specific event types as needed (such as triggered, acknowledged, closed, etc.).Severity filterSelect which alert severity levels trigger notifications. Incidents with unselected severity levels will not be pushed to Zoom.

Save configuration

After completing the configuration, save the escalation rule to apply changes.

FAQ

Verify the following:
  • The @ mentions toggle is enabled
  • A user mapping table is correctly selected
  • The user mappings in the table are correct and complete
You can find the Verify Token on your Chatbot application’s configuration page in the Zoom Marketplace. This token is used to verify the authenticity of Webhook requests.
Go to Platform Management → Mapping Table Management to create a Zoom-type user mapping table. You can also click the Quick Create Mapping Table link when configuring the Zoom bot to navigate directly to the creation page.
